Like the first century Roman world, we face the struggle of living out God's Kingdom values—the way of the Cross and the Resurrection—in a culture that pulls us toward compromise. Secularism, competition, and self-centered spirituality still seep into the Christian community and threaten to stagnate the mission. God's message has never changed or been more critically needed.

Hello, and welcome to The Sanctuary of Ocala website! The Sanctuary is a non-denominational, Holy Spirit-empowered church located in Ocala FL. We are a fellowship of committed believers in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that serves the communities of Marion County, including Belleview, Anthony, Citra, and Reddick.

At The Sanctuary, we believe that God is worthy of and deserves our highest praise and worship.  Accordingly, we place great emphasis on offering people the opportunity to worship God in a joyful, vibrant, spirited, and Christ-centered environment.  We are not interested in giving performances or observing religious traditions, but rather drawing people into a genuine spirit of worship and helping them to connect and experience God personally.

At The Sanctuary, we promote and encourage relationships as opposed to religion—both a personal relationship with God and relationships with other people. We believe that an individual’s personal relationship with God is the most important relationship that he or she can have.  Thusly, we actively encourage our people to build this relationship through prayer and the study of His word while personally experiencing His presence and power during worship and through serving.  We also offer people multiple opportunities to build relationships with other believers through various opportunities such as our teams, prayer groups, discipleship groups, weekly prayer meetings, and many others.

At The Sanctuary, we emphasize training and equipping the people of God to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ into our community, the United States, and throughout the world. We believe that we are not only to be “hearers of the word,” but also “doers of the word,” and thusly, we teach the word of God with a mind towards mobilizing the church for action, one person at a time.

Lastly, at The Sanctuary, we work together to identify each of our God-given spiritual gifts, talents, and passions, and find our places of service and ministry in the kingdom of God.  We believe that every Christian has an important role to play in the expansion of the kingdom on the earth, both within the church body and among unbelievers in the world.
